Some of my favorites are the Modus Hoperandi, Huhnapu’s, and Sexual Chocolate Imperial Stout. The artwork and design that goes in to some of these labels is incredibly well done. It would be fun to drink with the guy who designed the Shark Pants label.

Craft Beer has a recipe for Fudge Stout Brownies — brownies made with stout! They have a warning on there that really seems more like a challenge:

Chocolate lovers be warned, these brownies are moist, fudgy, and deeply chocolaty. If you’re having trouble finding a Coffee Stout in your area, substitute 2 ounces Sweet Stout mixed with 1 ounce brewed espresso.

I’d love to make this with Moohoo or Vanilla Bourboun County stout.

This is a book that walks you through all of the different kinds of beer there is, has high quality pictures, and recommends different pairings. Besides being a great read, it would make a great addition to any coffee table.

With Ultimate Beer, Jackson homes in on the particulars: which beer, when, and why. After a concise overview of brewing ingredients and processes, Jackson explores a myriad of beers from every corner of the brewing world. His suggestions are organized by the situation in which they might best be enjoyed: from summer sippers to winter warmers, aperitifs to nightcaps. Enticing photography of each beer and its packaging accompanies Jackson’s tasting notes, brief technical info, and product-specific tidbits. Then, Jackson indulges further with chapters on matching particular beers to particular dishes, and follows that up with a brief guide to cooking with beer.
