The list they came up with is pretty interesting and I mostly agree. However, I haven’t tried their #1 selection, Ballast Point Sculpin IPA. Check out the article for some great IPA selections and to see if you agree or disagree.

Great Divid celebrates its 16th anniversary with a wood aged double IPA. If you like any kind of barrel aged beer, definitely give this one a try. It pours a deep blonde red and is more complicated than your average double IPA.

This copper-hued treat is a celebration of everything Great Divide does best. Plenty of malty sweetness provides a backdrop for earthy, floral English and American hops, while French and American oak round off the edges and provide a touch of vanilla. Thanks to everyone who’s supported us for the last 16 years – here’s to 16 more! 10.0% ABV.

If you like hoppy beers, prepare to be amazed by Bell’s Hopslam ale. I recently described this the epitome of an IPA with extra hops and a hint of blonde flavor. The hops are a bit overpowering at first but smooth throughout the finish. I’m not going to go in to a long description about this but suffice it to say, just pick it up if you can still find it. Here’s what the brewery has to say:

A biting, bitter, tongue bruiser of an ale. With a name like Hopslam, what did you expect?

States Available: FL, IN, KY, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, OH, PA, VA, WI.
